After qualifying at Kings College Hospital in London in 1994, Tim completed his vocational training in general practice in Kent before entering the NHS hospital service. Having worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery units in London, Manchester, Cardiff and Newport and gaining extensive experience in hospital patient management and treatment, Tim moved to Bath in 1999, taking up a post at the Royal United Hospital.
During these years of hospital training, Tim gained the Fellowships in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He was also awarded the Faculty Fellowship Prize from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2000 and admitted by the General Dental Council to the Specialist List in Surgical Dentistry and later to the Specialist List in Oral Surgery.
Tim currently works as Associate Specialist in Oral Surgery for North Bristol NHS Trust and has developed a particular interest in treating apprehensive patients. As part of his continuing professional development, he has completed the final Membership examination in Surgical Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons of England as well as the Diploma in Conscious Sedation of the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Tim is a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Tim is also a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons, the British Dental Association, the Association of Dental Implantology, the International Team for Implantology and the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry.
